  1. Best thing I've ever bought

Posted by Anna on 22nd Nov 2011

Was worried about whether I'd get the hang of this but I can confidently say that, after practising just once in the shower, I can now shewee like a pro. As long as you keep the back end firm against you and leave a slight gap (which sounds odd, but otherwise your body fills up the space) there should be no overflow or leaking. Was shocked at the length of the extension tube - shewee and tube together give a good 7-8 inches range! Don't think the tube is necessary for most uses really, but I like having the carry case. Overall I am very pleased, and never want to sit down to pee anymore - it's so much cleaner!!

  2. Best invention ever!

Posted by L. Young on 22nd Nov 2011

I just got back from a music festival, where I took this. I didn't sit down on a loo ONCE.
At first I was a bit weary, as I have used the cardboard disposable ones before and they can't be used in public view as you do have to pull trousers down a bit. With this though, it slips in really neatly - I wore leggings all weekend and didn't bare anything. I used the urinals which blokes found hilarious.
I would definitely say practice first - not only so that you get the angle correct, but also because it can take a while to get going the first few times as it feels so strange standing and going at the same time! To avoid spillages, make sure the pointy bit is pressed against that bit of flesh between your vagina and anus (sorry to sound crude, I don't know the scientific terms :/). Don't push the rest of it too tightly against you as this will cause it to spill - the urine needs to travel down. Try it out with a tap first so you can get an idea of angles.
I only used the tube a couple of times when going against walls/trees, but you could probably do without it. However I would say it's worth buying shewee extreme even just for the case - it's handy to pop it into until you can wash the shewee.
I'm definitely taking this to the next festival or camping trip I go to - but will probably use it if I go on long walks etc as well. Beats trying to find a bush! I really wish I had bought this years ago!

  3. Quick, Safe and Convenient

Posted by M. English on 22nd Nov 2011

I LOVE my Shewee. Bought the Nato green with Extreme box and extention.
First attempt wasn't so good and made a bit of a mess...but second attempt delivered the goods.

Don't give up if it seems difficult. After a few goes it's EASY!!!

Great little device means you don't have to undress, use a dirty loo seat, crouch behind a bush etc etc.

Provided you keep the Shewee close to the body but not too close (that can cause back-flow) and you take care with what you're doing for the first few attempts, you're then open to a Wonderful New World of Safe Hygienic Weeing.

You don't automatically 'become' a man...you don't lose your femininity...you're just tackling having a wee in difficult circumstances without losing the plot.

Practice at home until you're confident, then enjoy not getting caught short next time you're at a festival or trip out for the day.

I bought this as I went to Glastonbury Festival and got cystitis as the loos were SO dirty....wish I'd had it then. I'm now 100% prepared for my next festival duty (I work in first aid) and will be able to relieve myself without fear of infection or germs.

THANK YOU Shewee for a fantastic invention.

    One VERY happy purchaser:)

  4. What a life-saver!

Posted by Kit on 25th Oct 2011

What a fantastic invention! I'd very much recommend it to anyone who goes hiking or camping, or visits festivals with yukky Portaloos.

I decided to try it out when I was ready to get in the shower, imagining that it would leak a bit the first time I tried it. Absolutely not, though, I was completely dry and would have been fine trying it with clothes. It's surprisingly difficult to wee standing up (the bladder muscles aren't used to doing it that way!), but that aside, the Shewee is very easy to use.

My first time in real life was a challenge: in a car, stuck in traffic for five hours on the M1. In full daylight! Luckily I'd left the fleece blanket that I have for winter emergencies in the boot, so I got that out along with an empty pop bottle I'd put in there for the purpose. I put the blanket over my lap, and fiddled about underneath it with my clothes, the Shewee, and the bottle...I was sure the exercise was going to result in disaster, but I was dying to go! It went surprisingly well, although what the van driver 'parked' next to me on the next lane of the motorway thought I was doing is anyone's guess. If I hadn't had the extension tube I wouldn't have been able to use the Shewee in this situation, so I was glad I got it. After that, the next time has to be easy!
